Menchville grad Teasley contributes to Virginia Wesleyan victory

Menchville High School graduate Chris Teasley scored 15 points in Virginia Wesleyan College's 71-54 home win over conference rival Lynchburg College on Feb. 16 at The Batten Center in Virginia Beach, the Wesleyan website reported.

Teasley also recorded six rebounds, one assist and a steal for the Marlins, who improved to 19-6 on the season and 14-2 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Teasley is a senior guard for Virginia Wesleyan College. He is a 2009 graduate of Menchville High School in Newport News, where he was a second team All-Peninsula District honoree and was selected to compete in the Senior All-Star Game. The psychology major is from Newport News and is the son of Christopher and Joan Teasley.
