Artistic Verses awards ceremony scheduled for March 2

The Artistic Verses awards ceremony, sponsored by Peninsula Fine Arts Center, will be held Saturday, March 2.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

According to a press release from Peninsula Fine Arts Center, "Artistic Verses is an annual cooperative program between PFAC and the Newport News Public Schools and is part of our ongoing efforts to educate and promote creativity in Newport News youths. This program is funded by Newport News Arts Commission and Peninsula Community Foundation."

Admission to the event is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children ages 6 to 12. Children younger than 6 are admitted free.

The event will be held at Peninsula Fine Arts Center, 101 Museum Drive, Newport News.
