Denbigh Baptist Christian School announces second quarter honor roll
Denbigh Baptist Christian School has announced its top academic achievers for the second quarter of the 2012-13 school year.
According to the school press release, students who earned all As are Darrien Cawthon, Sarah Creel, Sloan Gill, Tori O'Brien, Drew Poplin and Leigh Turlington in grade 12; Hollyn Bedford, Ben Noble and Katie Nolte in grade 11; Stacy Airhart, Caleb Lahr, Grant Showalter and Erica Slager-Laurent in grade 10; Sehar Hooda and Miranda Reilly in grade nine; Madison Allen, Joshua Asenuga, Noah Houlden, Grant Kiepke, Stephen Marshall and Alexis Porco in grade eight; Zachary Alves, Mansi Dhonde, Glenn Lahr, Daniel Marshall, Mia Quinene, Caroline Schindler and Sydney Scouten in grade six; Grace Haynes, Riley Navarrete and Abby Nolte in grade five; Ryan Houlden, Kate Schneider and Philip Showalter in grade four; Anna Kiepke and Reagan Zins in grade three; Regan Augustine, Brooke Daniel, Taylor Daniel, Makya Fowler, Brylynn Gilbert, Sarah Rose, Grayson Rowe, Tabitha Showalter and Samuel Weech in grade two; and Matthew Chestnut, Emily Dangerfield, Ryan Fekete, Payten Gary, Chloe Gensler, Joshua Giles, Christian Haynes, Nathan Hughes and Tyler Riffle in grade one.
Students who earned an A average are Torri Alves, Joseph Asenuga, Amber Auvil, Corey Chapman, Michael Field, Jack Mitchell, Lexi Norcutt, Allen Paxton, Rome Queen and Sean Smith in grade 12; Jeremy Brooker, Loghan Goins-Phillips, Bobby Keating, Faith Kirk and Sam Thomas in grade 11; Devin Huling, Katie Kane, Emily Love, Justin Potter, Rachel Ramirez and Emma Slager-Laurent in grade 10; Stephanie Hayes and Hannah Lefebvre in grade nine; Madison Allen, Joshua Asenuga, Noah Houlden, Grant Kiepke, Stephen Marshall and Alexis Porco in grade eight; Keirsten Davis and Eddie Hernandez in grade seven; Andrew Hutsell and Kailer Lensch in grade six; Addison Gilbert in grade five; Brandon Chestnut, Emma Reilly, Alexia Stechele and Ryan Windham in grade four; Micah Blaylock, Miranda Murphy and Allison Seeley in grade three; Gabriella Humphry, Brandon Ray, Austin Robertson and Summer Stuart in grade two; and Elise Fiala, Katie Greene, Abby Poole and William Satterfield in grade one.
Denbigh Baptist Christian School is at 13010 Mitchell Point Road in Newport News. Denbigh Baptist Church started the school as a ministry program in 1969. The school is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International and was accredited by the organization in 1997. Robert Law is the principal.
