Warwick grad Younger plays in Old Dominion loss
Warwick High School graduate LaQuanda Younger played for Old Dominion University in a 64-50 loss against conference rival Drexel University on Feb. 10 in Philadelphia, Old Dominion University's website reported.
The Old Dominion University freshman guard recorded two assists and one steal for the Monarchs, who are 16-7 on the season and 7-4 in the Colonial Athletic Association.
Old Dominion University's next game is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 at home against James Madison University.
Younger, a 5-foot-10 freshman guard for Old Dominion University, is a 2012 graduate of Warwick High School. She earned all-state honors and was a two-time Peninsula Player of the Year during her high school career. The Newport News native is the daughter of Shirley Younger.
