Menchville grad Teasley contributes to Virginia Wesleyan victory

Menchville High School graduate Chris Teasley contributed 16 points in Virginia Wesleyan College's 70-62 win over conference rival Guilford College on Feb. 9 at Ragan-Brown Field House in Greensboro, N.C., the Virginia Wesleyan College website reported.

The Virginia Wesleyan College senior guard also recorded eight rebounds and two assists for the Marlins, who improved to 17-6 on the season and 12-2 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Virginia Wesleyan College's next game is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 on the road against Hampden-Sydney.

Teasley is a senior guard for Virginia Wesleyan College. He is a 2009 graduate of Menchville High School in Newport News, where he was a second team All-Peninsula District honoree and was selected to compete in the Senior All-Star Game. The psychology major is from Newport News and is the son of Christopher and Joan Teasley.
