Warwick grad Lyons plays in Wesleyan victory

Warwick High School graduate Breven Lyons played for Virginia Wesleyan College in its 86-63 win over conference rival Emory and Henry College on Saturday, Feb. 2 at The Batten Center in Virginia Beach, the Wesleyan website reported.

Lyons helped the Marlins improve to 14-6 on the season and 10-2 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Virginia Wesleyan's next game is 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 on the road against Christopher Newport.

Breven Lyons is a sophomore guard for Virginia Wesleyan College. He is a 2011 graduate of Warwick High School in Newport News. The mathematics major is from Newport News and is the son of Tremaine Jernigen and Bridgette Lyons.
