Menchville grad Teasley contributes 9 points to Virginia Wesleyan victory

Menchville High School graduate Chris Teasley contributed nine points in Virginia Wesleyan College's 84-51 home win over conference rival Shenandoah University on Jan. 23 at the Batten Center in Virginia Beach.

The Virginia Wesleyan College senior guard also recorded four assists and three steals for the Marlins, who improved to 13-4 on the season and 9-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, the Virginia Wesleyan College website reported.

Virginia Wesleyan College's next game is 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 on the road against Washington and Lee University.

Teasley is a 2009 graduate of Menchville High School in Newport News, where he was a second team All-Peninsula District honoree and was selected to compete in the Senior All-Star Game. The psychology major is from Newport News and is the son of Christopher and Joan Teasley.
