Menchville High School graduate Chris Teasley led Virginia Wesleyan College with 19 points in an 89-82 victory over conference rival Roanoke College Saturday, Jan. 19, at Bast Gymnasium in Salem.

The Virginia Wesleyan website reported Teasley recorded one rebound and a block, as the Marlins improved to 12-4 on the season and 8-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Wesleyan's next game is at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 at home against Shenandoah.

Teasley is a senior guard for Virginia Wesleyan College. He is a 2009 graduate of Menchville High School in Newport News, where he was a second team All-Peninsula District honoree and was selected to compete in the Senior All-Star Game. The psychology major is from Newport News and is the son of Christopher and Joan Teasley.
