Sailor's Valentines program scheduled for Feb. 7

Sailor's Valentines, a program sponsored by The Mariners' Museum, will be held Thursday, Feb. 7 at the museum in Newport News.

The event will run from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and is part of the museum's First Thursdays series.

According to a press release from The Mariners' Museum, "Learn the history and meaning of the Sailor's Valentine, then make your own to take home. The Age of Exploration Gallery will be open."

Tickets are not required and the event is free.

The event will be held at The Mariners Museum, 100 Museum Drive, Newport News.
