Menchville grad Teasley plays in Virginia Wesleyan loss

Menchville High School graduate Chris Teasley contributed one point for Virginia Wesleyan College in a 100-89 loss against Newport News Apprentice School on Jan. 2 in Newport News, the Virginia Wesleyan College website reported.

The senior guard also recorded four rebounds and an assist for the Marlins, who are 7-4 on the season.

Virginia Wesleyan College's next game is at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 against Shenandoah.

Teasley is a 2009 graduate of Menchville High School in Newport News, where he was a second team All-Peninsula District honoree and was selected to compete in the Senior All-Star Game. The psychology major is from Newport News and is the son of Christopher and Joan Teasley.
